Friends Fur-ever – IPC 145 Reminder

Hello again!

Today I have another card for the current Inky Paws Challenge! Remember, you have until Friday night to link up your friendship themed projects on the Newton’s Nook blog!

For this card, I wanted to make something that was a little more clean and simple than the other card I created for this challenge. I started my card by stamping and coloring the dogs from the Puppy Pals stamp set and colored the image using my Copic markers. The colors I used were:

Dog 1: C8, C5, C3, C1 Collar: RV14, RV04, RV02, RV0000

Dog 2: E79, E37, E35, E33, E30 Bandana: YG45, YG23, YG01

Stick: E59, E57, E55

Next, I cut a strip of white cardstock that was about 2.5 x 5 inches. On that piece of cardstock, I ink blended using the Gina K ink colors Jelly Bean Green, Key Lime, Lemon Drop, and Wild Dandelion as well as Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. After I was done blending, I cut the inked cardstock into quarter-inch strips. Starting in the center of the front of my A2 card base, I glued one of the strips about an inch from the bottom of my card. I continued placing my inked strips, but instead of lining them up as they were before I cut them, I staggered the colors a little bit, creating this wavy effect.

After I finished gluing my strips on, I die cut the dogs using the coordinating dies and popped them up with some foam tape on the bottom of the panel of color. To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment ” Friends Fur-ever” below my dogs in a black ink.

I hope you join us in the Inky Paws Challenge for a chance to win a $20 credit to the Newton’s Nook Online store!

Thanks for stopping by!
