It’s the first day of a brand new Inky Paws Challenge and I am so excited to see all the amazing creations that come from these fabulous colors!
When I saw this color palette, I knew I wanted to use the lemons from the Lemon Twist Stamp Set. This stamp set is a silent favorite of mine – I don’t think to use it often, but when I get around to using it, I always love the results!
To start my card, I stamped three of the lemon images onto white card stock and then colored them with my Copic markers. To color the lemons, I used:
Lemons: YR24, Y38, Y35, Y13, Y11
Leaves: G07, YG05, YG03, YG01
After coloring, I cut my images out using the coordinating dies. Next, I decided I wanted my background to be pretty simple, so I started to make it by cutting a piece of white paper down to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. On that paper, I ink blended Salvaged Patina Distress Ink, starting at the top and moving down, creating an almost U-shaped area of ink. Next, I wanted some sparkle so I mixed some Perfect Pearls in the color Confetti White with water and splattered it across my inked area.
Next, I adhered the lemons to the background panel using some foam tape. For my sentiment, I stamped “when life gives you lemons…” from the Lemon Twist Stamp Set.
Thanks for stopping by!
