A Quick Thank You Card – Inky Paws 164

Hello and welcome back!
There’s still time to join the Inky Paws Color Challenge! Create a project using the colors Candy Red, Cream, Cocoa Brown, and Pewter Gray. Then, link a photo of your project to the Inky Paws Challenge Blog for a chance to win a $20 voucher or be picked as a favorite by one of the wonderful challenge team members!

For my card today, I created a clean and simple thank you card. To start my card, I stamped the dogs from the Puppy Pals stamp set and colored them using my Copic markers in the following colors:

Red: R59, R29, R08, R05, R14

Gray: C6, C4, C2, C1, C00

Dark Brown: E18, E17, E15, E13

Light Brown: E11, E30, E50, E00

After coloring my image, I cut it out using the coordinating die set. To create my background, I cut a piece of white card stock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Then, I masked an inch on each side of the card stock using some masking paper. On the unmasked area, I ink blended using Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxides. To add a little more texture to the card, I splatted some watered down Perfect Pearls on the inked area.

After letting the background dry, I stamped the sentiment “Thankful for you” from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. To finish it off, I popped the dog image up using some foam tape and adhered it to the center of my card.

I hope you join us in the Inky Paws Challenge! This is such a fun color challenge – I hope you find it as inspiring as I did!

Thanks for stopping by!
