Hello and welcome back!
Have you joined the Inky Paws Challenge yet? You have until the end of the day Friday to enter your projects using the sketch below as inspiration for a chance to win $20 to the Newton’s Nook Online Store.
For my card today, I created a winter scene using some inks and the adorable Holiday Haul Stamp Set.
To start, I stamped and colored the car image using Copic markers in the following colors:
Red: R59. R39. R37, R35, R32
Black: 100, W8, W6, W5
Grey: C5, C3, C1
After coloring, I cut the image out with the coordinating die.
To create my background, I cut a piece of white cardstock down to 4.25in x 5.5in. Starting from the top of the paper, I ink blended using Distress Oxides in Speckled Egg, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner, and Chipped Sapphire. I wanted to make it look like it was snowing, so I mixed some white acrylic paint with water and splattered it across the background.
To mimic the sketch, I cut a piece of black cardstock in an off-center V. Then, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Holiday Haul Stamp Set with white embossing powder.
To put everything together, I glued the black panel to my background, then popped the car up on foam tape and attached it to the card.
Thanks for stopping by!
