Polka Dot Birthday Card – IPC 220 Reminder

Cards, Newton's Nook Designs

Hello and welcome back!

Have you joined the Inky Paws Challenge yet? The theme of this challenge is polka dots! All you have to do to enter is create a project using a Newton’s Nook product and polka dots, and link a photo to the Inky Paws Challenge Blog.

For my second polka dot card, I used lots of products from the newest release!

To start my card, I stamped the image from the Newton’s Birthday Trio Stamp set and colored it with Copic markers. Here are the color combinations I used:

Calico Cat – YR07, YR04, YR12, W6, W4, W2, W1

Grey Cat – W8, W6, W4, W3

Orange Cat – Y28, YR04, YR12, YR31

Accessories: R29, R15, R04, YR09, YR07, YR04, Y38, Y35, G18, G15, B06, B04, B01, V16, V14, V01

After coloring, I cut out the image using the coordinating die and added Glossy Accents to the speech bubbles.

While that was drying, I picked out the blue and purple polka dot papers from the new Pastel Basics Paper Pad. I cut the purple piece down to 4.25in x 5.5in. Using the Basic Frames Die Set, I cut the blue paper down to about 3.5in x 4.75in. Then, I used the banner die from the same set and cut it out of a white piece of card stock.

To finish my card, I adhered the papers together with liquid glue and popped the colored image up with foam tape on the center of the banner piece.

I hope you join us in the Inky Paws Challenge for a chance to win $20 to the Newton’s Nook Online Store!

Thanks for stopping by!
